ABOUT JESSICA GRIM AND MELANIE NEILSON ...

Melanie Neilson is author of Civil Noir (Roof Books), Natural Facts (Potes & Poets Press), Prop and Guide (The Figures), and Reader Souvenir, (FP). She lives in Queens, New York.

Jessica Grim is author of several books of poetry including Vexed (BlazeVOX and /ubu Editions), Fray (O Books), Locale (Potes & Poets Press), and The Inveterate Life (O Books). She lives in Oberlin, Ohio.

Neilson and Grim co-founded and co-edited Big Allis, a magazine focusing on experimental writing by women which published from 1989–2000. Cover art and design was by Jean Foos. Excerpts of Melanie and Jessica's long-form collaborative work, The Autobiography of Jean Foos have appeared in Bomb, Conjunctions, Brooklyn Rail, and Chicago Review.
